Details Job Description Team Leader for RAN Software Deployment in the RAN Access Group, Ericsson Japan



Purpose

As a Team Leaser RAN Software Deployment you will be leading the team of highly skilled software integration engineers who are responsible for software deployment, node integration and feature activation activities. You will report to head of RAN NPI and Deployment unit which is part of Service Delivery Organization within the Customer Unit in Japan.

You will be based in Yokohama, Minato Mirai.



Main Responsibilities

Define and follow up on sections goals and objectives.

Perform and manage the budget estimate and resource plan of the unit.

Allocate resources for given assignments.

Ensure an efficient and successful operation of the section within set budget.

Manage, plan and follow up of the work/tasks assigned to the section and to provide estimates of the effort and duration required.

Ensure quality of the deliverables (products, processes and services) from the unit.

Actively improve the way we are working through processes, work instructions, tools and quality checklists.

Co-ordinate the work with co-operating sections/units.

Set short and long term objectives for the individual staff and perform follow-up on the set objectives and provide regular feedback to section members.

Ensure the personnel and competence development of the sections staff members.

Ensure continuous contact with the section staff members.

Foster teamwork within the section as well as towards other units.

Approve the administrative requests and orders, i.e. travel orders, time sheets, etc., in accordance with the NRJ authority instruction

Participate in relevant Leadership and Operating Steering Group Meetings.

Report the status of the section operations to the Manager of RAN NPI and Deployment unit



Skills & Qualifications

Fluency in English

Fluency in Japanese is a strong advantage

Bachelor degree in IT, Engineering or Computer Science or the equivalent.

The minimum of 5 years relevant job experience in an Ericsson organization.

Supervisory experience in technical group (more than 25 persons).

Good inter-personal skills (you are open, positive, showing respect to others, self critical, good communicator and supportive to your peers and subordinates)

Good knowledge of Ericsson products, processes and procedures, in particular within the RAN area.

Good knowledge of WCDMA, LTE Design processes, methods and tools.

Good knowledge with the process of NPI (new product introduction).



Assignment period

3 to 6 months with a possible extension for a longer period.
