Currently we have an opening for 3G RF Optimization Engineer with our client in Egypt.
It is a 6 months extendable contract position. Please find below the job description
A Network Consultant provides technical service and support MS NPOC Plans. He/she optimize, troubleshoot and resolve problems in order to stabilize and improve the network performances to meet customer requirement (focused on KPIs targets achievements and customer experience). Network Consultant has deep knowledge on Parameter Configurations, RNC Features and optimization methodologies for fast growing and live customer networks.
Responsibilities
3G Service Engineer is responsible for the execution of following activities
Responsible for reducing congestion and drops, improving the IRAT Handover, Soft Handover, Location Update, Paging, CSSR, RRC Connection & RAB Establishment Success rate in the 3G RAN network for all Voice, Video Packet & High Speed, issuing capacity requests whenever needed.
Responsible for the drive test analysis and taking the necessary action to improve the performance of his area.
Evaluate and adapt new methods and technologies regarding Radio Network Optimization, Features, and Trials & Tuning.
Monitor & analyze the WCDMA/HSPA Radio Network Statistics on daily basis.
Dimensioning of RAN Network (CEs,Channel Cards, Node Bs, RNCs) for coverage and capacity and quality requirements.
Achieve & maintain the Radio Network Performance as per the contracted KPIs (Accessibility, Retain ability, and Mobility & Service Integrity)
Utilize OSS applications for radio network audit/performance improvement purposes.
Transfer competence to internal/external customers in Radio Network Design/Improvement area and develop competence of new employees.
Issuing capacity upgrade requests whenever needed.
Candidate should have a strong knowledge with (UETR, UEH, and GPEH) traces, parsing and analysis and comfortable to work with it on daily basis.
Support the design of new locations.
Work closely with customer 3G team to enhance network performance.
Performs and coaches others to continuously document knowledge to enable an effective knowledge sharing process and organizational development.
Sharing knowledge in internal and external forums
Coaches others within project and customer context
Generate Weekly and Monthly reports for RF Customer Team.
Interfaces
Customer WRAN Engineers, Drive Tester, Back Office engineers, FM Engineers within MS service delivery project
IS/IT Tools
MCOM, Business Object, TEMS Investigation, OPTIMI, RNO, NeXplorer, Ericsson OSS-RC, MOSHELL, CNA, WNCS, WMRR, UETR, CTR, GPEH, M2000, LMT, CME, PRS, Nastar, PCHR
Required Skills
Degree/diploma in Telecommunications/Electronic.
WCDMA / (Radio Propagation, Air Interface and Protocol, Cellular NW principle, Interference, Traffic estimation).
Good understanding of WRAN features and parameters
Experience in telecommunication projects, mainly in RF Performance, Optimization and Network Planning, communication and knowledge sharing skill.
At least 4 years of experience from Network Consulting within the Telecom Vendors or Operators (RF Planning and Optimization)
Good knowledge and understanding of the customers business situation.
Customer Relationship Management skills
High service attitude
Customer Oriented
Fluency in English (Arabic is plus)
