Details Concept IT have an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious and success driven candidate to join a splendid hi-tech development company.

YOUR ROLE: You will be responsible for programming, configuration and testing the companys chips in development and production environments. The company provides software tools to its customers for this purpose, which need to be written, extended and maintained as wireless specifications evolve and new generations of chips are designed.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: You will maintain, develop, design and create cross-platform software tools as required. Learn and work with new standards as they emerge, work closely with test engineers, hardware engineers, other software engineers and field application engineers to identify requirements and solve problems. Take responsibility for new and exisitng tools, and provide informal training to users as required.

OUR REQUIREMENTS: ▪ Most development is in low-C++, however strong C, Perl, Python or TCL are an advantage; ▪ Experience with QT, VS2005 and make systems will be gained quickly; ▪ Enthusiasm and ability are more important than knowledge of wireless standards; ▪ Familiarity with more than one operating system is useful; Win32, WinCE, Linux (desktop or embedded), BSD, OS-X, eCOS, Symbian, QNX, VXWorks, Nucleus (most of the tools are written in portable code which can be compiled for a variety of OSs, as required but programming without an OS can happen);
