Our client is a leading wireless technology company, providing platform and hardware independent solutions for field based workforces across the UK and Europe.

We are looking to recruit a number of customer facing software consultants to work in varied positions that will act as liaison between the internal software development teams and clients.

The ideal background would be someone who has a technical background (Specifically development knowledge) and has maybe moved away from a formal hands on coding position into a role that is more customer facing.

The core languages in the business that you should be aware of would include XML, J2SE/J2ME, Ruby on Rails, C#/.NET compact framework, and in addition, it would be useful to be knowledgeable with production quality Web based service applications, including typical LAMP stack.

The role will cover all aspects of the software delivery process including requirements gathering, design, development, training and deployment support,

Using a combination of inhouse technology and agile methodology you will be personally responsible for end to end delivery of truly varied bespoke wireless applications.

You will also be capable of working with Corporate Clients at CXO level, convincing them you are the person they can trust and rely on to deliver on their budget and timescales.

Some experience within the industry is preferred however we prefer that you have not been tainted too heavily by cumbersome project management methodologies.
