Job description Telcap Lithuania is seeking a CN/MN Capacity Senior Engineer to support wireless networks capacity tool, to assist our client with operational and project based work and capacity analysis reports production. From an operational candidate will provide technical support for all service, moves, adds and changes as required of network topology, KPIs, vendors configurations and traffic analysis. Project based tasks may involve project management of services and reports productions, including short stays at customers premises.
Validate inputs data from customers, validate tool outputs and results, provide detailed analysis for different scenarios, of capacity prediction and CAPEX investments reports production, ensure companys quality standards are met. Provision of specific on-demand services like CAPEX for adding a new layer (EDGE, UMTS, HSxPA networks), marketing discount or special offers network capacity impacts scenarios, DRP (Disaster Recovery Plan) impact on capacity analysis, etc . Add new features and services to the tool upon customers requests or identified needs. The capacity audits consist of Network performance, Topology and traffic, capacity assessments and benchmarks and, dimensioning assessment for Core and Transmission Networks capacity for CS, PS and Signaling. Provision of the overall access and transmission network capacity reports on a quarterly basis.
Required skills/qualifications To be considered, candidate must have 10+ years of experience as a Wireless Telecom Specialist in Core Networks (CN) and Middle Networks (MN). Individual will have broad experience, handling both technical and project based tasks. Solid knowledge of the telecommunications industry and experience with GSM, EDGE, UMTS, HSxPA and LTE technologies and vendors, is required. The candidate MUST have Transmission and Core Network demonstrated experience as well as Network Performance Analysis. Experience in capacity analysis and reporting is a serious advantage.
A good level of understanding of 3GPP (R99/R4/R5/R6) including H248, SIP, ISUP. A good level of understanding of the network structure of Circuit Switched (CS), Signaling and Packet Switched (PS) in GSM, CDMA, WCDMA, UMTS, EDGE, HSxPA and GPRS. Very good knowledge of one or more of the following GSM/GPRS, CDMA, WCDMA, UMTS, ATM Switch and other IP and ISDN/PSTN/PLMN Product, SGSN & GGSN, Interfaces A, , Gb, Iur, Iu-PS, Iu-CS, and, mobile softswitch, mobile packet core, Next generation network (NGN) and/or IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS). You will have strong technical knowledge of IT Operating system including Microsoft Windows XP/7.
Individual must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to work efficiently with staff and customers (CEO and CTO levels) efficient time management and organizational skills to prioritize workload and ability to work independently and in a close team spirit. Demonstrated expertise in key business operators process skills, such as workflow and process analysis. Demonstrated data manipulation & interrogation/analysis skills. Flowcharting & audit process & controls experience. Proactive and positive attitude, commitment to customer satisfaction and objectives driven. Proactive and entrepreneur type profile is a plus.
Good English is a must. French is a big plus. |
