Job Description
Support of Circuit Switched core network elements - MSC, MSS, MGW, NEMU for MGW - including the following activities
Commissioning, verifying, accepting and troubleshooting
Technical support into customer networks, end-to-end support
Technical support for projects to troubleshoot and resolve CS core issues
Provide proactive maintenance service support and delivery
Support change management service delivery
Provide support in pilot and roll-out upgrades and patch installations
Provide support for technical acceptance test activities, new feature verifications
Generate and execute MOPs for HW/SW updates and upgrades
Provide competence transfer to customer operations teams
Ensure quality customer satisfaction survey targets are met
Provide consultance to customers regarding CS core network optimization, planning, feature activations and other improvements
Required Competencies and SkillsTechnical Competence
Previous Nokia or Nokia-Siemens DX200/DX200i MSC, MSS, MGW, NEMU for MGW knowledge and experience.
In-depth knowledge of GSM/GPRS/UMTS call flows, system interfaces and interface telecom protocols RANAP,ISUP,BICC,H.248,SIP.
Able to use and interpret results generated by protocol analyzers, familiar using troubleshooting tools like Wireshark.
Excellent knowledge of IP network and UNIX technologies, IP routing/switching principles, network management, DNS, Radius, LDAP.
Advanced knowledge of 3GPP GSM and UMTS network specifications.
Education & Experience or Other RequirementsBachelor\'s Degree in Electronic / Electrical Engineering
External primarily works at a NSN facility or off-siteNSN Office
