Details Position Engineer GSM Traffic
Description

The Traffic Engineer must have strong technical skills in GSM with emphasis on Traffic and Planning. Develops and coordinates the execution of assigned projects on a regular basis, providing updates, escalating issues and driving for results. Will be responsible for traffic planning for GSM and Transport to ensure voice and data accessibility targets, data throughput targets, support forecast database maintenance, validate resource forecast, issue growth work orders, coordinate for implementation, maintain the traffic growth tracker, provide status report. The Traffic Engineer will be responsible to monitor the capacity needs of GSM voice and data usage in NSN systems using traffic monitoring system. Responsible to monitor GSM data throughputs, PCU rebalancing and issue tickets for EDAP expansions.

Other main responsibilities will be GSM transport (E1) and Ethernet forecasting. The engineer will work with Layer 0-3 Engineering teams in the design of the E1 augments

Qualifications &
Required Skills

Bachelors of Science or Masters Degree and 3-5 years wireless experience. Familiar with GSM and EDGE traffic and planning engineering, erlang B GSM voice dimensioning, EDGE/GPRS resource planning for optimal throughput, BTS (NSN flexi EDGE) and Flexi BSC HW architecture
Optimi ( Wizard) propagation modeling . Advanced MapInfo skills and Business Objects.
Office tools (MS Office, Advanced Excel - Macro. MS Access, Power Point).
He should demonstrate interpersonal, written and oral communications skills.
