Summary of the role of Program Manager
This is a customer facing, commercially focussed, delivery and deployment Program Management role for an international telecoms vendor. Managing a team of Project Managers who are delivery focussed on deploying infrastructure and hardware solutions to telecoms operators.
The Company
Our client is a world leading telecom vendor, who provide communication solutions to network operators and service providers globally. They are looking for highly motivated, talented and ambitious individuals who have a strong passion in mobile telecoms to join their team as a Programme Manager. They are the leading provider in providing mobile application platforms to the worlds tier 1 and local mobile operators.
Particularly of interest are candidates who work for companies such as NSN, Ericsson, Alcatel Lucent, Ericsson, Comverse, Huawei, Logica, Cisco etc. Also experience with customers such as TTSL / Tata, Reliance, Bharti etc. will be highly beneficial.
Your experience for the role of Program Manager will include-
- Experience of managing project budgets and accountability for program P&L.
- You have managed various customer delivery projects whilst working for a vendor
- Customer infrastructure deployment experience
- Experience providing solutions to mobile operators such as TTSL, IDEA, Reliance, Bharti etc..
- Financial management experience
- Project work at the commissioning stage
- Good experience of managing and / or containing scope
- Project reporting and governance experience
- Revenue recognition experience
- Experience in managing large scale and complex telecommunication projects and programmes
- Project Management certification a strong advantage (PMI, PMP, MSP, APMP, Prince2 etc.)
- Service Delivery Projects infrastructure, deployment, hardware
- Face to face with customer able to work at a high level (CxO level)
- Comfortable dealing with, negotiating and managing customers and their expectations
- IN, Billing, SMSC, VAS, GSM, Charging etc. project experience ideally
- Budgets from $5M to $100M
- Customer facing, commercially aware
- Candidate must have strong communication skills and ability to forge excellent relationships with customer stakeholders and partners.
