POSITION SUMMARY
The Performance Optimization Applications (POA) Manager within the Finance Department will participate on a cross-functional basis with various Business and IT constituents to develop and support web-enabled reporting and dashboards for Finance. In addition, this role will provide technical support for ad hoc reporting and analysis. Technology-enablers for reporting will include the Business Objects suite (Crystal, Webi, XCelcius, etc.). Capabilities in other SAP solution sets such as Business Warehouse (BW), Enterprise Core Component (ECC) 6.0, and Business Planning and Consolidations (BPC) would be beneficial.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate\'s responsibilities will include
Lead and participate in reporting and scorecard/dashboard development from conceptualization through to execution and deployment.
Facilitate the transition from project mode to post go-live support mode.
Provide post go-live support for delivered reporting and analytical projects.
Cross-train and facilitate the empowerment of business users towards best practice self-service reporting models.
Communicate priorities timelines and deliverables to team members and business stakeholders.
Drive development activities and timelines for project completion.
Collaborate with managers within the organization for end-to-end solution planning
Liaise with internal customer groups and business leaders.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor\'s and/or Master\'s degree in Finance, Computer Science or related degree.
5+ years of performance optimization application (POA) experience utilizing technology-enablers such as SAP BOBJ, SAP BPC, SAP BW, SAP Netweaver BI, SAP ECC or R/3, Outlooksoft, Cognos, Hyperion.
Expert level experience working with the Business Objects tool set - Crystal Reports, Web Intelligence, and Xcelsius
Experience with Business Objects universe design and overall performance guidelines in working in the Business Objects environment
Experience with SQL working with large data sources
Expertise in business intelligence and data warehousing
Leadership and management skills
Entrepreneur spirit with strong planning and project execution skills
Demonstrated ability to proactively build and manage relationships
Ability to coach and lead technical teams in a collaborative approach
Strong communicator (Oral, Verbal, and Written) with ability to persuade individuals and groups
Excellent technical skills with strong analytical and diagnostics background
Strong organization and time management skills
Ability to use metrics in an operation environment to suggest and implement continuous improvement
Ability to thrive in a challenging and high pressure environment
ADDITIONAL ASSETS
Professional accounting designation.
Knowledge and experience with integration between SAP POA solution sets.
Knowledge and experience with financial budgeting, planning and forecasting processes (Capex, Opex).
Knowledge and experience with consolidations.
Knowledge and experience with product costing.
Knowledge and experience with post go-live support processes.
Project management experience and/or certification.
