Our customer is a leading and growing international mobile telecoms vendor. They require a commercially aware, vendor experienced CFO to manage their PAN Indian finances. A new senior position in APAC. An opportunity to grow
You will have a strong Finance background, have a formal finance qualification, be experienced in billing, collections, project accounting and outsourcing accounting ideally. You should also have worked for a mobile vendor and able to stand your own with internal VP\'s, Country Head\'s etc.. Ideal candidates would be from Huawei, Ericsson, Oracle, Cisco, Alcatel Lucent, Logica, ZTE, Wipro, Sun, Microsoft, etc...
Job Description
Responsible for managing the P&L and working capital forecast cycles in accordance with the WW processes. As the head of finance for the country you will be the primary Finance reference point for the local sales and management team. You will provide commercial support to the structuring of business opportunities including the preparation and presentation of business cases for internal review and approval. You will be responsible for providing guidance to the local team on the application accounting policies and standards.
You will be expected to work closely with the APAC region finance team to design and develop an appropriate back office support process for your country. This will cover-
Project cost accounting and accuracy
Compliance with IFRS
Compliance with federal/State legislation
Application of Company accounting policies
Local statutory reporting
Financial transaction processing
Cashflow forecasting and management
Internal and external audit management
Payroll accounting
Responsibilities as the CFO / Chief Financial Officer
You will use, administer and monitor the financial system environment in order to ensure that the regional Financial accounts are maintained in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with the corporate reporting timetable.
Main activities will include
The financial reporting of all project revenue and costs
Deal with business review and financial risk review / analysis
Assist in the resolution customer billings and cash collection issues
Completion and submission of the weekly commit sheet
Implementation of financial policies and procedures in the region
Working with regional sales team to provide information from pipeline tool
Management of the monthly accruals and prepayments process
Manage the preparation of bank and balance sheet reconciliations,
Establish and maintain cash controls that will enable the monitoring and reporting of cash reserves and repatriation to the holding company
Regional cost optimization in contunjunction with regional APAC finance team
Preparation of annual budget
Assist with the payroll management in conjunction with HR
Other duties deemed necessary and directed by the APAC Regional Finance Director.
Will be required to travel within the APAC Region and (occasional) to attend other regional/Central meetings.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance , experience of project accounting would be a distinct advantage
The candidate must have knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. The person must have the ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections. Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
