An opportunity has now arisen for a NETWORK ENGINEER (JAMAICA)

Reporting to the Network Engineering Manager, the Network Engineer will be based in Jamaica, but will be required to travel within the Caribbean.

The primary responsibilities will be the following:

• Operational Support
– Assist in the resolution of Network Emergencies & critical issues
– Provide relevant technical information for Post Emergency investigations & evaluations
– Provide technical assistance/support to Island Networks
– Track & Collate Vendor CSRs & Report on Top 10 CSRs (Weekly/Monthly)

• Vendor Interaction/System Upgrades & Expansions
– Monitor Vendor Support Performance
– Perform System Upgrades & Corrections
– Perform System Expansions & Extensions
– Perform Feature Implementations
– Provide Progress Reports.

In order to be a successful in this position, you will be a graduate in Electrical Engineering/ Telecommunications/Electronics/Computer Science, with at least 5 years Engineering and Operations & Maintenance experience with Ericsson GSM Mobile Telecommunications Equipment with specialization in Core/IN/Prepaid Nodes. Have a good understanding of Ericsson NSS/IN/VAS. Successful completion of relevant Ericsson GSM Mobile Training Courses
