Summary
This role is working for an international telecoms vendor. Within MEA Competency Centre the Radio Access / RAN Pre-Sales Expert is providing level 2 pre-sales support to the entire ME B&P community (cluster & account teams) along the complete pre-sales life cycle with 2 main objectives
Solution management
o Definition of competitive solution packages 2G/3G swap or greenfield deployment + LTE introduction (converged RAN), evolution to IP RAN,
o Solution & cost optimization,
o B&P autonomy development & training of pre-sales community,
o Capitalization of best practices across MEA & beyond
Day to day business support
o in answering customer requests technical strategy definition, complex statement of compliance, offer optimization/aggressiveness & risk assessment
o Direct answer to complex RFP
o Pro-active contribution to creation of pipeline/new opportunities
Tasks & Responsibilities
Supporting competencies development of the pre-sales community, assessing the needs and organizing necessary trainings/workshops/info sessions on the radio access technologies & related solutions CDMA2000/EV-DO, GSM/EDGE, W-CDMA & Femto, LTE
Developing & distributing/publishing the reference radio access solution packs in close cooperation with E2E Wireless Solution Leaders, gathering & sharing best practices
Broadcasting regular updates on products/solutions to the radio access B&P community,
Supporting ME B&P clusters and customer teams at all stages of the offer lifecycle in a timely manner
Preparing in full autonomy the complex offers that cant be managed by the cluster or customer teams, in line with B&P process framework (OQM, OSM, OAM),
Capitalize on regular programs feedback from operations/delivery teams,
Participating to win/loss analysis on selected projects,
Regular reporting of activity.
Profile Requirements - Skills, Education & Experience
Telecommunication engineer,
Deep technical knowledge of radio access technologies GSM, (CDMA,) W-CDMA, WiMAX
Several years of pre-sales experience,
Field / operations experience would be a plus,
Quick learner,
Pre-sales acumen & business understanding (knowledge of key players, market & trends),
Good & open communication skills (both verbally & in writing),
Powerful presentation skills,
Motivated by challenging & multi-cultural environment,
Adaptable, used to cope with time constraints and deliver good quality work under pressure,
Independent/autonomous,
Showing leadership, proactive/taking initiatives,
Team player,
Strong analytical skills + strategic thinking,
MS Office suite of tools (Word, Excel & Powerpoint)
Languages fluent in English Arabic would be a plus.
