Description:
The Solution Consultant (SC) is a consulting oriented role whose primary purpose is to design and architect solutions that leverage NSN and 3rd party components & services to deliver end-to-end solutions that solve complex, customer-specific technical and business requirements.

The SC is assigned to the Communication & Entertainment Solutions team within Business Solutions, and dedicated to a Customer Team or customer project. The SC:
- Participates in very large, complex and/or key customer solution selling cases
- Interacts closely with the customer to capture, analyze and influence functional & non-functional requirements while building strong relationships with the customer across multiple levels of their organization
- Maintains knowledge of the customer’s network architecture, technical descriptions and integration guidelines up-to-date
- Leverages industry best practices to identify the desired architecture and high level solution design
o decompose the requirements into the functional blocks
o ensure traceability of features back to requirements and use cases
o identify solution components and external & internal interfaces
o perform technical risk evaluation of proposed design/solution

- Develops customer solution evolution roadmap (including migration concepts from existing to new network architecture), ensuring alignment across solution elements
- Coordinates cross-BU and 3rd party activities and support to ensure alignment
- Defines the technical competences and effort needed to realize the solution in the customer’s environment
- Interacts closely with the Delivery and Care organizations to ensure a smooth and successful transition from sales to delivery.

In addition to identifying possible technical alternatives, the SC takes into account the business constraints and context (financial, political, strategic) to propose a solution that has the highest likelihood of success for the customer and NSN.

Additional Information:
The ideal candidate has broad competence and working knowledge of a wide range of network and IT technologies, the applications & enablers domain of a CDMA / LTE operator\'s network, and in-depth knowledge of the Location Services solution domain and related technologies, including:

- E911 (technologies and requirements)
- Positioning technologies
- A-GPS
- Enhanced Cell-ID (ECID)
- Observed Time Difference of Arrival (OTDOA)
- Hybridization
- Location protocols and interfaces
- SUPL 2.0
- Single-shot fixes
- RRLP used as positioning protocol (LPP not finalized in 3GPP)
- OTDOA RRLP is extended to carry LTE OTD measurements
- Non-roaming scenario
- Network initiated
- SET (UE) initiated
- OMA MLP
- LBS Applications & systems integration

The ideal candidate is familiar with NSN iGMLC solution portfolio and/or third party products, as well as implementations of LBS solutions in North America for emergency and non-emergency services.

Candidates should have a relevant technical degree (e.g. B.S./M.S.in Electrical/Computer Engineering) and at least 7 years practical experience in the telecom services and solutions business with at least 3 years of that in pre-sales related activities.

Furthermore, candidates must have:
- Good written and oral communication skills (must speak & write English fluently)
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and explore new opportunities
- Ability to investigate and evaluate technical and business requirements and make relevant recommendations
- Able to work and produce targeted results with minimal supervision
- Networking personality that enables you to understand customer organizations and politics to discern approach and strategies
- Sound understanding of mobile operator business drivers and technology
- Self-starter attitude, able to demonstrate a strong sense of business ownership and leadership
- Ability to work across multi-national matrix organization
- Ability to work across multiple layers of the customer organization and engage them throughout the scope of the project.
