Summary of the role of Programme Manager
This is a customer facing, commercially focussed, delivery and deployment Programme Management role for an international telecoms vendor. Managing a team of Project Managers who are delivery focussed on deploying infrastructure and hardware solutions to telecoms operators.

Our client is a world leading telecom vendor, who provide communication solutions to network operators and service providers globally. They are looking for highly motivated, talented and ambitious individuals who have a strong passion in mobile telecoms to join their team as a Programme Manager. They are the leading provider in providing mobile application platforms to the worlds tier 1 and local mobile operators.
Particularly of interest are candidates who work for companies such as NSN, Ericsson, Alcatel Lucent, Ericsson, Reliance, Comverse, Huawei, Logica, Cisco etc.
Your experience for the role of Programme Manager will include-
- Candidate must have experience of managing project budgets and accountability for program P&L.
- Experience in managing the large scale and complex telecommunication projects and programmes.
- Telecoms vendor background
- Managing Project Managers
- Project Management certification an advantage (PMI, PMP, MSP, APMP, Prince2 etc.)
- Service Delivery Projects infrastructure, deployment, hardware
- Face to face with customer able to work at a high level (CxO level)
- Comfortable dealing with, negotiating and managing customers and their expectations
- Used to working with the commissioning team
- Experienced in the deployment phase
- Mobile solutions Project and Programme Management background
- Good line management experience
- IN, Billing, SMSC, VAS project experience ideally
- budgets from $5M to $100M
- Customer facing, commercially aware
- Candidate must have experience of handling multi-supplier engagements with strong skills in contract/scope management.
- Candidate must have strong communication skills and ability to forge excellent relationships with customer stakeholders and partners.
Summary description of position
Delivering high quality projects in time.
Responsible for understanding and updating of regulatory guidelines, SOPs and workflow elements.
Ability to function and lead in a team environment, including leading effective meetings.
