In summary you will take care of offers pricing for bids and proposals for this international telecoms vendor. A background in Telecoms Sales / Business Development and an understanding of pre-sales is required for this role from a vendor e.g. Cisco, Oracle, Ericsson, Juniper, NSN, ALU etc..

Role Description
- Develop a commercial strategy for competitive pricing
- Key role to leverage on EMEA-wide pricing and market awareness and the global product division strategy.

Key Challenges of the Role

1. Provide top knowledge and skills on the price ability of our solutions and products.
2. Put focus on how to build and improve P&Ls
3. Optimize commercial-configurations, internal networking with product group and external (market) research on competition pricing are crucial elements.
4. Trade and project financing (TPF)
5. Interact with customers to understand their constraints and targets, and to defend the commercial part of the offer in bid defence/negotiations.

Key Accountabilities

Provide leadership for bid related customer pricing, optimization, and validation - also in complex offers. Be the focal point of contact in the Pre-sales team
Understand the local competitive environment and accordingly develop a pricing/commercial strategy
Best-Practices export

Key Skills/Competencies required

Business or technology degree, preferred with at least 3 years experience in business development/management
Proven ability to manage complex solution offers to customers and work with sales teams to successful closure, considering commercial attributes
Ability to research the market on pricing issues, both from the competition perspective and the customers need and draw reliable conclusions on pricing trends.
Business Acumen
o Understand the pricing related issues which our customers are facing.
o Diligently monitors market/competitive evolution
o able to focus on the business opportunity for the company whilst matching this with customer needs
o Combines market and competitor awareness to propose relevant commercial proposals to the customer
Able to motivate, persuade and influence others
Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferable in other languages as well (Arabic ideally).
