Position Description

The systems test engineer will support the production / development testing of cdma2000 radio access network systems and products based on the 1xRTT and EV-DO air interface standards. The successful candidate will execute test plans and procedures for system level functional testing of 1xRTT and EV-DO base station products and core network components. He/She will also maintain cdma2000 related test tools and supporting software programs. The successful candidate should be effective at working independently and as part of a cross functional team.

Responsibilities

Implement system test plan and procedures for IP-RAN products
Execute production testing of CDMA IP-RAN products
Analysis of test results, including implementation defect identification
Knowledge of cdma2000 RAN protocol
Validate digital and RF prototypes for compliance to cdma2000 standards
Maintenance of cdma2000 test tools
Interaction with hardware and software design engineering teams

Skills & Qualifications
Experience with cdma2000 radio access network systems
Knowledge of cdma2000 standards, including 1xRTT and EV-DO Rev. 0 and A
Knowledge of PDSN, AN-AAA, UNIX and A1 Interface
Experience using cdma2000 test tools, including QXDM and QPST
Experience with Cell Planning and Field support skill
Knowledge of system testing methodologies
SIP knowledge in testing preferred
Good verbal and written communication skills and documentation skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Familiarity with application layer protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP) and how to use/test them
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
BS in electrical engineering or equivalent experience in a test environment
+5 years relevant experience
