Details

Traffic Engineer must have 5+ years of wireless Traffic Engineering experience. Must be able to understand complex traffic designs for Ericsson, Nortel and Alcatel switching platforms. Must be able to size trunk groups and maintain a 6 month build ahead. Expert knowledge on call routing and exposure to Data Trannslations, and provisioning are required. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment,under pressure.

Functinal/Technical: Knowledge of data communications, protocols and technologies such as: TDM, ATM, Frame Relay, SS-7, TCP/IP, X.25, SONET and VoIP. Ability to interpret topography, network design maps and CAD designs. Strong personal computer skills required including knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, HOMER and Granite. Good working knowledge of databases required.

Must have strong communication skills, prior vendor management experience. This position requires in-depth knowledge of the PSTN, LERG and telecommunications transport networks and their configurations. Advanced knowledge of circuit provisioning. Associates degrees in applied sciences preferred, minimu 5-6 years technical Telecom experience required.

Minimum Required Skills / Competencies:

At least 5 year recent experience in traffic engineering in the wireless envirionment. In depth knowledge of complex network, and grasps traffic flow in expert manner. Must know provisioning and have experience working with LECS and Telco vendors.
Candidate must have advanced skills in excel, experience in Lerg, understand erlang calculator.

Candidate must have experience in negotiating W2W TGs.

Preferred skills:

Granite and HOMER Database experience, experience pulling qrys out of access type database.
