System Integrator
EMC\'s Networks IMS unit is a R&D unit reporting to DUCI\'s PDU IMS.
PDU IMS has the responsibility to develop and release Core Application nodes for IMS - IP Multimedia System and other solutions.
EMC’s Network unit is responsible for Standard R&D, Innovation, Improvements, & PLM related to the Core Application nodes within PDU IMS. Activities are related to: CSCF Development, IMS Core Development, IMS Ref implementation and I&V, IMS tool development & PLM, IMT Verification, IMS & DUCI Innovation Development
IMS offers a standardized way to deliver convenient IP-based consumer and enterprise services to fixed, mobile and cable community – enabled by one common core and control. It is the cornerstone of the evolution of current networks to a single, all-IP based network where all types of services (messaging, telephony, etc.) and media (voice, video, pictures, text etc.) can be integrated into a single user experience.
The position is for CSCF Development.
1 Summary
• Responsible to ensure the integrity and quality of different software / hardware applications / components. Selects, designs, develops and executes test plans. Develops instructions and tools to assemble the applications / components in order to deliver a turnkey solution to customers. Participates in the initial installation and verification in a live environment with a selected customer.
• Must be flexible and also self driven team player able to work under pressure
2 Main Responsibilities
• Prepares test instructions for new and changed functionalities, tests the interoperability of the network with the Company and / or customers, and reports on the testing results.
• Integrates and certifies product unit deliverables.
• Integrates and troubleshoots the Company\'s and third party products.
• Executes and supports First Office Applications (FOA).
• Maintains dumps for the Application System, the Test Plant and customers.
• Supports demo activities (Trade Shows).
• Provides services to customers during FOA, assisting the customer with troubleshooting in the execution of acceptance testing.
3 Recommended Minimum Requirements
Education:
Bachelor in Engineering or Computer Science.
Pertinent Experience: Min two (2) years of relevant experience in a Software or Mobile Telephone environment.
Competence
• HIGHLY DEVELOPED Knowledge of testing concepts & strategies (Black Box, White Box, Legacy, Regression, Resilience, Feature Test, Node System Test, etc...)
• GOOD-HIGH knowledge and skills in TSP
• HIGHLY DEVELOPED knowledge and skills in IP network & IMS technology
• HIGHLY DEVELOPED knowledge in Test Automation & Scripting
• HIGHLY DEVELOPED knowledge in Telecom networks and telecom standards (eg: SIP, Diameter, SS7 , Radius, etc )
• HIGHLY DEVELOPED knowledge in testing tools & simulators (TTCN, SPIRENT, etc…)
• HIGHLY DEVELOPED knowledge and skills in Processes, specifically in Testing, Maintenance and Support Processes
• HIGHLY DEVELOPED knowledge and skills in Software Engineering
• HIGHLY DEVELOPED knowledge and skills in Technology, specifically in 3rd Party Products
• HIGHLY DEVELOPED knowledge and skills in Troubleshooting
• GOOD knowledge and skills in ICE, Streamline & Agile Development
• GOOD knowledge and skills in Development Processes
• GOOD knowledge and skills in Programming Languages
• GOOD knowledge and skills in Technical Standards
