Place: Initial South Africa for 1 month (during planning phase) then Mozambique Maputo (during roll-out approx 3months)

Duration: 3 months initial with possibility of an addition 3 months extension

Start Date: 14th September 09

1 x 3G Planning & Optimisation Engineer (dual roll):

Planning Phase

The Planning engineer must have a good foundation with 3G RF planning and strong Parameter and performance measurement experience on the flexi product (RAS 6 or higher). The engineer will be responsible for the 3G coverage design/ traffic model/ simulations / neighbour planning (intra / inter and inter system), SC planning…. setting up the features and parameters as well as relevant KPI and creating the datafill (xml files).

Rollout / Optimisation

Collection of drive test measurements (Nemo Outdoor). analysing using Actix analyser, KPI analysis using NetAct reporter, worst cell optimisation, parameter / neighbour audits . Making recommendation and implementing parameter / feature and coverage optimisation. Generating customer reports. Using NetAct Optimiser for optimisation

Tools to be used: NetAct Planner (Aircom asset), NetAct Plan Editor, Nemo drive test tools, Actix Analyser, NetAct Reporter, NetAct Optimiser.

Consultant to provide:

- Accommodation – 1 bedroom apartment is 1,800USD pm
- Transport – NSN can provide business transportation – PLEASE NOTE THAT DOES NOT INCLUDE PRIVATE TRANSPORT
- Flight – FPG can pay in advance and deduct from 1st consultant salary

- visa costs – it will be the cost of getting the business visa in the Mozambique embassy in their own country which normally is 50USD

NSN to provide:

- SIM card for business calls only up to 50USD per month
- Business expenses outside home based approved by the Line Manager and Cost and Progress Manager
- Letter of invitation for visa application for Mozambique
