Details

Start date is the soonest. Duration is 6 months renewable. I also have possible openings in Detroit, San Diego, Milwaukee and Las Vegas.
Qualifications:

Required:

· Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible microwave backhaul network design and engineering experience

· Bachelors of Electrical Engineering or similar field

· Expert knowledge and skill in using microwave propagation and planning tools such as Pathloss or Ellipse

· Working level knowledge and experience in IP networking

· Experience working at communication sites/towers to validate dish alignment, installation quality, and support optimization is a must

· Solid understanding and hands-on experience with microwave performance instrumentation and analysis tools

· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

· Ability to manage personal workload, vendors, and deliverables, to meet aggressive project timelines

· Strong work ethic and team player

· Candidates should be capable of climbing ladders/stairs while carrying test equipment

· Valid, clean, driver’s license required

Preferred:

· Masters or higher level degree in Electrical Engineering

· Prior RF/microwave design experience with a wireless service provider is preferred

· In addition to the licensed microwave bands, familiarity and experience with working in the UNII unlicensed band is a plus

· Prior experience with vendor management of outsourced microwave design contractors, line-of-site vendors, and equipment vendors is desirable
