Key Responsibilities
The post holder is responsible for the production of monthly management accounts, daily and weekly reporting for AWCC. The post holder is also responsible for recording and reporting on Fixed Asset and Inventory Movements.

Location
The post is based in Kabul. Occasional travel may be required.

Key Contacts
Reports to- Financial Controller
Direct Reports- Asset Accountant
Other Contacts- Financial Accountant, operations and implementation staff, stores staff.

Main Accountabilities
• Preparation of timely, accurate and relevant management accounts by the fifth working day of each month.
• Assisting the Financial Controller in the production of the draft monthly commentary.
• Analysing financial and operating variances and ensuring that relevant data is provided for operational staff.
• Providing budget packs for managers to prepare budgets and consolidating the annual budget.
• Providing packs for managers to produce interim forecasts and consolidating the results.
• Ensuring that the company’s fixed assets and inventory are properly recorded and adequately safeguarded.
• Performing investigations and analysis as required by the senior managers of the company.
• Assisting in the production of month end and annual reconciliations and reporting schedules.
• Developing reporting templates for use by both financial and operational managers.
• Providing assistance in the production of statutory accounts and the audit process.
• Training and developing staff.

Skills and Experience.
• Qualified accountant, or qualified by experience.
• Two years experience in a management accounting role.
• Excellent reporting and analysis skills.
• Excellent spreadsheet skills and experience of using data retrieval packages and dynamic.
• High-level staff management skills.
• Prior experience of Sage Line 100 and of report development.
