The ideal candidate will participate in the development of military and commercial computing and RF communication systems from concept, through hardware development, integration and testing. This position requires the ability to understand system performance issues and architect products to meet customer requirement by evaluating various architectures and technologies. The successful candidate will handle all aspects of system design, integration and test, with the ability to oversee and provide technical direction to other engineers.

Tasks include:
- Design, simulate, debug and evaluate RF communication system
- Design and development of rugged computers, display and peripherals
- Integrate RF technologies into existing and future computing products
- Analyze existing products and recommend product improvements
- Select and specify state-of-the-art integrated technologies & components for new designs
- Conduct architecture, technology and implementation trade-offs
- Develop technology roadmaps

EOE/M/F/D/V

Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering;
- Seven or more years design experience in wireless design.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
- Hold or qualify for a US DOD Security Clearance
Ideal skills:
- Very familiar with state-of-the-art concepts, practices and procedures in RF design up to 2.5 GHz;
- Knowledge of IEEE 802.15 (Bluetooth); 802.11a,b,c (WiFi); 802.16 (WiMax); 802.20 (MBWA); 802.22 (WRAN), 3G technologies
- Experience integrating technologies in adhoc, infrastructure and mesh networks.
- Experience in RF circuit level testing and troubleshooting
- Proficient in simulation and modeling of RF and analog hardware designs
- Knowledge of DOD and military requirements for RF products a plus;
- Experience with antenna design
- Understands and is efficient in the use of RF electronic instruments such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal sources, reference antennae, meters and counters
- Ability to conduct link, power, and error analysis
- Strong background in digital communications, digital signal processing, information theory, or data networking
- Ability to understand system-level issues in a complex mobile wireless system
