Job Title: Search Engine Marketing Manager
3GWirelessJobs.com is in need of a dynamic, highly-motivated and experienced Search Engine Marketing Manager to join its expanding team with ambition to become the leading job board web site with free job posts and on-line social networking for employers and search agencies specializing in the telecoms, wireless, IT and mobile software development industries.
The position will be most attractive to an individual with a proven track record of implementing multi-faceted search engine optimization (SEO) strategies designed to increase qualified search engine traffic, and who is looking for a challenging and exciting opportunity to lead the search engine marketing activities of a fast growing online business. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment which values action, creativity, initiative and team work.
The Responsibilities
The Search Engine Marketing Manager will be tasked with leading all facets of the company's search engine marketing activities (with a focus on SEO), including the identification of strategic priorities and key initiatives, developing and implementing detailed search engine marketing plans, and tracking and analyzing results.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Leading all SEO and online marketing strategies designed to drive significant increases in organic search engine traffic and conversions using a variety of on and off-site SEO strategies including, but not limited to telecom keyword research, on-page optimization, content syndication and SEO copywriting / editing, link building, optimization of site architecture and technical infrastructure, and affiliate marketing
- Identifying telecom & wireless keywords opportunities and driving the content strategy and execution to acquire traffic for targeted keyword search terms/phrases
- Managing and accelerating growth of the company\'s affiliate marketing program
- Examining the linking environment and crafting a plan for the acquisition and optimization of inbound links
- Developing strategies for and managing all PPC/SEM marketing campaigns across all major search engines (Google, LinkedIn, Facebook, MySpace, Yahoo!, MSN, Industry forums. etc) to drive profitable consumer acquisitions
- Selecting, evaluating and managing all internal/external SEO/PPC resources and agencies
- Initiating KPI reporting and analysis, including campaign reporting, click/conversion analysis, target keyword rankings, indexed pages, backlinks, competitive benchmarking, etc.
- Monitoring competitive and technology industry developments to identify opportunities for improving natural search results
- Identifying strategic partnership and other business development opportunities to enhance the company's SEO and traffic acquisition efforts
The Qualifications
- 2+ years of SEO experience, preferably working with technology sites which depend on business conversion
- Undergraduate degree (business or marketing focus preferred)
- Extensive knowledge of primary and secondary search engine mechanics
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills; highly-proficient working in MS-Excel and web analytics tools such as Google Analytics
- Strong understanding of technology (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, AJAX)
- In-depth knowledge of search engine technologies (algorithms, ranking strategies and industry trends)
- Ability to understand HTML code for title tags, meta-description tags, keyword tags, ROBOTS.txt files, redirects, etc.
- Demonstrated ability managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated initiative, drive and teamwork skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience in the telecom industry, particularly with wireless & mobile technologies like WCDMA, GSM, 4G, LTE, WiMAX, mobile software development, IT, Satellite and Cable
- Social Networking web sites and technology discussions forums experience and knowledge
- A desire to play a key role in shaping the future and growth of an exciting online business
