Job Details
• At least 5 years of distributed antenna systems experience.
• Candidates who have worked at companies that produce distributed antenna systems or have worked on distributed antenna solutions at pcs/cellular providers are very strongly preferred
• Distributed Antenna Solutions or DAS systems experience with providing enhanced in-building coverage.Radio Technologies, Antenna Concepts, Repeater concepts, Distributed Antenna System (DAS) knowledge, Network Design, Installation, and Management, Wireless Standards and Organizations, Cellular/PCS technologies. Project management concepts, System troubleshooting, how to perform site surveys.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor\'s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent working experience.
• PC literacy: ability to use basic office applications, including Powerpoint, Word, Excel, Visio, AutoCAD Lite, Outlook/Email. Excellent customer interface skills working with Wireless Services providers and end Enterprise customers.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel and work at the customer site for ~50% of normal work time..
• Intimate working knowledge CDMA, TDMA, GSM, iDEN, UMTS, and EvDo technologies.
• Ability to use basic RF and networking tools such as spectrum analyzers, packet analyzers, Cellular/PCS Optimization test sets, Agilent E6474a, various transmitters and receivers, protocol analyzers to conduct RF site surveys and troubleshoot real customer problems..
• Knowledge of available products and emerging industry standards (for instance UMTS and EvDo)
• SitePlanner training/certification, iBwave training/experience. DAS System training/certification for: ADC/LGC Wireless, MobileAccess, RFS, Andrew, and Powerwave products.
