We are currently seeking a UMTS Software Engineer III
Responsibilities:
* Design and development of embedded software in C/C++.
* Analysis and implementation of UMTS standards.
* System design and troubleshooting of voice and data networks on UMTS network.
* Advise hardware designers on system and software characteristics that affect hardware design.
Skills & Abilities:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Comfortable with UNIX and/or Linux platforms.
* Demonstrated skills in the use of tools used for development of Network Protocols and/or MAC protocols.
* Knowledge of physical layer communications a plus.
* Working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures in software development.
* Ability to perform work functions with a consistently high degree of efficiency, thoroughness, accuracy and follow-through.
* Ability to make generalizations, evaluations, or decisions based on measurable or verifiable criteria.
* Develop complex technical design projects for new and existing software products.
* Provides expertise and recommendations in analyzing, designing, programming and modifying software for real-time, embedded software applications.
Education and Experience:
* BS (or MS) in Electronics/Electrical/Communication/Computer Engineering.
* Experience with GSM/GPRS/UMTS/WLAN solutions or working experience in the Telecom field.
* 5+ years of C/C++ development in windows/Linux environment (3.5+ years with MS).
* 5+ years of progressive experience (3.5+ years with MS).
* Or equivalent combination of education and experience. |
