Description:

Network Implementation Testing Engineer will work remotely with field personnel to conduct hardware and software testing upgrades on Sprint Nextel’s Lucent Wireless Network. The engineer will follow proven methods of procedures to ensure implementation work does not negatively affect our customers. Candidate will complete testing/upgrades in accordance with outlined schedules ensuring that all activities are documented accurately. The engineer must possess strong interpersonal skills, and be a team player with a desire to learn multiple platforms. Candidate must possess strong oral and written communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and strong computer skills. The preferred candidate would have experience with Wireless CDMA technology, preferably on the Lucent Executive Cellular Processor (ECP), Evolutionary Data Only (EVDO), or the Class 5 Electronic Switching System (5ESS). Bachelors Degree or equivalent. 3-5 years related work experience.

Requirements:

Network Implementation Testing Engineer will work remotely with field personnel to conduct hardware and software testing upgrades on Sprint Nextel\'s NORTEL Wireline and Wireless Networks. The engineer will follow proven methods of procedures (MOP) to ensure implementation work does not negatively affect our customers. Candidate will complete testing/upgrades in accordance with outlined schedules ensuring that all activities are documented accurately. The engineer must possess strong interpersonal skills, and be a team player with a desire to learn multiple platforms. Candidate must possess strong oral and written communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and strong computer skills. The preferred candidate would have experience with Wireless CDMA technology, preferably on the NORTEL Mobile Telephone Exchange (MTX), Networks Base Station Subsystem (NBSS), and/or the Next Generation Voice Network (NGVN). Bachelors Degree or equivalent. 3-5 years related work experience. This is generally a night shift position however some day work may be required on occasion. Typical hours are from 10pm - 6am with some variance due to scheduled activities.
