Job Description:
Systems engineering activities related to the 4g wireless LTE product. System architecture definition, theoretical analysis, computer aided analysis, wireless system simulation, regular active participation in design and review sessions. The successful applicant is expected to be highly motivated and innovative, tackle tough problems and create the best solutions to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities/Requirements:
Experience with and in-depth knowledge of one or more wireless network standards and products such as LTE, UMB, WCDMA /HSPA, IEEE 802.16x.
MAC layer; upper layer algorithms; network architecture.
MIMO OFDM technologies systems knowledge.
Thorough understanding in at least two of the following areas:
eNodeB system architect including base band, radio unit, I&RF, PA and BTS site solution.
LTE radio resource algorithms: scheduler, power control, interference cancellation, resource management, mobile management network.
Wireless backhaul, Transmission, Relay/Mesh network.
Pico cell /Femtocell and in depth knowledge on indoor wireless coverage solution.
E-E VoIP performance , Multimedia broadcast and multicast services,
E-E QoS mechanisms and related protocols such as DiffServ, IntServ, RSVP.
Knowledge of RF link budgets, traffic models, capacity and throughput analysis.
The individual should be familiar with architectural components involved in the support of 3G/4G Mobile radio access networks such as BTS, ASN Gateway, BSC, PDSN, RNC, SGSN, GGSN, and other network elements in the respective architecture models.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well in team environment and individually
EE, MS EE or PhD degree
Jobs held with a 3G operators is a plus
5+ years working experience in mobile wireless communications for telecom equipment vendor or wireless carrier.
