TITLE: Sr. RF CMOS IC Design Engineer
Position Description and Responsibilities:
Dust Networks is now looking for an experienced RF IC Design engineer to be a key member of a small team designing ultra low-power SoC digital/analog/RF circuits for wireless mesh networking systems. You will participate in architectural decisions and help define product requirements. The engineer will have key responsibilities for design, verification, modeling, bench testing, debug, and interaction with ATE test development and product engineering. The designer will work closely with other IC engineers, systems engineers, software engineers, and hardware engineers to produce robust, reliable, and low power networks. You will present and participate in design reviews as well as participate in system integration and testing. This position will be located in our corporate offices in Hayward, CA.
Qualifications:
The candidate should be a proven top-notch RF CMOS designer with a sharp mind and a strong desire to succeed. Must work well with a highly motivated group of engineers and strive to contribute, at all levels, to the product design. The designer must be willing to discard traditional radio circuits in pursuit of designs that make Bluetooth radios seem high power.
Education: MSEE or higher is preferred. BSEE is acceptable with significant industry experience.
Experience: 3+ years of professional experience designing RF integrated circuits is a must. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the IC development process through production ramp-up within the fabless model and a proven ability to work with a small team of highly motivated engineers.
Skills Required: Qualified candidates will posses a broad cross section of skills and talents and feel comfortable with all aspects of designing RF integrated circuits: concept, architecture, analysis, simulation, design for test, design for manufacturability, layout, test, and characterization of prototypes. In particular, experience designing and testing RF CMOS circuits in the 800 and 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz bands, including receivers, transmitters, oscillators, mixers, LNAs, VCOs, and PLLs, is important. The candidate must have a solid understanding of fundamental RF and circuit concepts. Experience with Cadence EDA tools and Spectre RF is beneficial. Low power radio design experience is desired as well as antenna design experience. Experience in wireless metworking (particularly 802.15.4) is an advantage. Must be fluent enough in the English language to be able to write clear technical specifications and explain technical ideas and designs to peers and management.
