Position Summary:
Designs, develops, and maintains Ethernet protocols and Layer 2 switching software for Ericsson EDA 1500 product which delivers voice, data & video services to residential customers using FTTH & FTTC technologies. Contribute to architecture and implementation decisions for new product development. Participate complete development lifecycle, including requirements, design, coding, unit testing, system integration, documentation, and customer support.

Essential Skills and Experience:
• Minimum of 8 years experience in developing embedded software for carrier class systems
• Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering required
• Strong embedded C programming experience
• Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivation and the ability to work effectively in teams
• Strong development background in two or more of the following areas:
o Development experience in many of the following areas covering Ethernet, Layer 2 Switching, VLAN forwarding & Stacking, MAC bridging, DHCP/PPPoE/ARP Learning, LACP, IGMP, IPTV, 802.1d, QoS, IP routing protocols, RIP, OSFP, RSTP/MSTP etc..
o Development experience using Prestera, C-Port, or Modleware network processors.
o Driver development experience with Gigabit Ethernet Chipsets.
o Development experience of Ethernet over GPON is a plus.
