Scope:
Complete network deployments and support customers and third party vendors in current and future deployment projects. This includes system-level requirements and system high-level design, system integration, functional analysis, capacity, maintenance, and debugging, utilizing advance knowledge of telecommunications. Our group works with other product development, verification teams, project management, marketing teams, and contractors at various sites around the world. The working mandate provides our engineers with ability to influence product development from conception, through verification and to field test and deployment.
Requirements:
- Canadian Citizenship, Canadian Permanent Residency, or Canadian work permit
- Knowledge of wireless technologies (CDMA, UMTS, WiMAX). Fundamental understanding of wireless network infrastructure (BTS, Node-B, BSC, RNC, MSC, OMC, PDSN, SGSN) and protocols (SS7, IS-95, IS-2000, TCP/IP).
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering or equivalent
- Knowledge of wireless network theory, preferably in CDMA, UMTS, and WiMAX networks
- Knowledge or experience with GSM, CDMA, TDMA, and 3G
- Knowledge and/or experience with CDMA/CDMA-1X/EV-DO is an asset
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good team spirit and adaptability
- Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time and prioritize them accordingly
- Self-starter, capable of taking initiative to identify & resolve problems, and improve work environment.
- Able to travel up to approx. 60% of the time
