Long Term Contract Oppurtunity: Title: Senior Bluetooth Resident Engineer

Bluetooth integration engineer with prior experience of working as a technical go-to-guy for Bluetooth in the automotive domain.

Reports To: Director, OEM Technology
We are looking for a Senior Bluetooth Engineer with both design and test engineering experience. 5+ years of experience in the field, with significant time and knowledge in the specific area of Bluetooth implementations.
This position will involve serving as an on-site resident at a major OEM to successfully execute a sourced Bluetooth program and will involve taking a leadership role with the OEM and the other associated suppliers to develop specifications, concept of operations, and follow-through on launch of the product.
The position will also entail specifying, developing, and executing required Bluetooth system tests for development testing, product validation, and problem solving. In addition, this individual must serve as the primary Bluetooth Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Company.
Detailed knowledge of Bluetooth chipsets, stacks, and profiles required. A demonstrated participation Bluetooth SIG activities a major plus, as well as participation in Bluetooth Interoperability Testing.
Additional knowledge and experience in following areas desired:
• Hands Free Phone Implementations
• GSM Communications
• WiFi
• Voice Recognition

In order to excel as an on-site resident with the customer, the following demonstrable capabilities are critical:
• Detailed specification development
• User interface experience in Bluetooth
• Work in a collaborative environment
Beyond this, the candidate needs to have direct experience as a tier-1 OEM automotive supplier and a demonstrated capability to manage the launch of products into an automotive OEM vehicle. This includes knowledge and experience in Problem Solving Processes (7D, 8D, etc.) and managing product change requests.

Education: B.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering Required. A Master’s Degree in technical discipline considered a great plus.
