Details Our client is seeking a person to work on assignments, provide design leadership and key ideas for projects involving analogue electronic design. A second aspect to the job is to assist in business generation responding to leads, proposing technical solutions, meeting clients and contributing to proposals.
The Radio Sensing Group encompasses our expertise in the fields of radio frequency (RF) based detection, location and imaging, advanced control and signal processing. Our RF sensing and imaging work are based on radar and wireless communications systems.
Examples of these systems are:

Short range UWB and wideband radar for automotive and industrial applications, Radar-based missile test systems, Radar systems for detecting and analysing objects through a wall and other non radar based systems such as sensors

Specific responsibilities
You will initially work on the design of analogue electronic circuits for imaging, detection and sensing systems. In addition you would be expected to apply your broad range of analog design skills to other client projects. These could be power supplies, filters, amplifiers, sensors designs etc.

Engineers work on client assignments in multidisciplinary project teams, sometimes on more than one concurrently and in different team roles. High quality work is essential from every team member.

As a project team member you would be responsible for carrying out your specific project tasks within the time-scales and quality agreed with your project managers. As your experience develops, you might wish to take on further responsibilities.

Minimum requirements

To meet the demanding requirements of this role you will have an excellent first degree or post graduate degree in electronic engineering or a related discipline. In addition you will have the following:

A broad range of analogue electronic design experience and understanding
Analogue simulation experience using the SPICE language
Design for manufacture understanding
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Some experience working in industry or in a postgraduate environment.
