Description:
Glu Mobile is seeking an experienced QA Manager to be responsible for people management, planning, scheduling, and managing of daily activities of the team across multiple fast-moving projects with aggressive deadlines. The candidate has a thorough understanding and experience of QA methodologies and process improvement. At the same time, the candidate must be willing to be hands-on in testing as needed.

Main Responsibilities
• Recruit, mentor, develop, motivate, and retain high quality QA staff.
• Perform managerial tasks such as personnel quarterly goal setting and focal reviews.
• Implement and track metrics to measure team performance.
• Plan, schedule, and allocate resources across multiple projects.
• Review overall test plan and test cases for each project.
• Oversee QA execution against the plan and monitor the bug list closely, driving the list to zero for each project.
• Execute against the QA plan in a timely manner ensuring highest quality criteria can be met. Make recommendations as necessary.
• Evaluate processes within QA and with other departments. Introduce, enhance and implement efficiencies in an on-going basis.
• Work closely with all cross-functional teams including production and engineering and serve as an advocate for QA.
• Perform hands-on testing as needed
• Responsible to lead QA on multiple new game and application titles under development. This will mostly be client-side on targeted mobile devices with server components.

Qualifications
• 6 or more years of Quality Assurance experience as an individual contributor.
• 3 years minimum people management experience
• Experience in a dynamic, growing company. Must be adaptable and flexible.
• Excellent written and verbal skills. Must be able to collaborate and work with a diverse team including third party partners.
• Excellent time management skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize own work as well as the team’s work.
• Exceptional organizational skills and must be a self-starter. Track record of demonstrating initiative.
• Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills, both technically and organizationally.
• Proven track record in delivering quality products in a timely manner.
• Must be willing to work smart and hard to get the job done.
• Experience in project management a plus.
• In-depth understanding of QA methodologies and practices as well as software development life cycle.
• Knowledge of QA and Software Development tools including Bugzilla, CVS.
• Knowledge of programming a plus to identify its relationship to bugs found.
• Experience with Windows and Linux/Unix
• Experience with server testing
• Experience of gaming industry, wireless phone industry, and mobile devices a plus.

Compensation: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 Annually

Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent
