An individual who is responsible to ensure that all potential revenue is captured on a daily basis and that fraud prevention measurements are carried out companywide for a GSM Operator in an emergent market in South Asia.

Analysing and reporting all telecom related internal and external Fraud.
Review and give recommendations on fraud in all business areas including SIM cards, Billing, Revenue Assurance, Scratch Cards, International Roaming and Business Processes.
Working with the Interconnect reconciliation system, fraudulent customer detection and implementation and optimization of fraud policies.
Analyse data on the revenue stream including revenue leakage.
Working with network operations and 3rd Party vendors on fraud issues.
Manage rating and billing including system monitoring, report generation and Fraud Analysis.
Liaise with the NZ based CC&B System vendor and Support Consultant on site in Kabul for all fraud-rprevention related issues.
Preparation of a number of ad hoc reports and information requests on fraud issues by Senior Management.
Participating in Teleacom fraud conferences and be updated on latest fraud areas in the GSM market.
Other tasks as assigned by the Director CS,CC, Billing, Interconect, IR&FI.
Prepare weekly/monthly reports to the Billing Manager/Director CS, CC, Billing, Interconnect, IR&FI.
Experience from the mobile telecoms industry is required.

A positive attitude and a strong degree or a Master of Science in a numerate subject.
Deep knowledge of the telecommunications industry.
3-5 years experience of working on Fraud Management in the cellular industry.
Knowledge of fraud issues, revenue assurance methods and carrier settlement in the telecommunications industry.
Strong analytical skills, ability to manage high data volumes.
Knowledge of end-to-end processes from switch to billing and tariff and pricing structure withing telecoms noth post- and pre-paid.
Knowledge of billing & customer care systems and Fraud Management Systems within the Telco industry.

Fluent English is required. Additional languages are an asset.

Excellent communications skills at all levels.

Strong customer services orientation and interpersonal skills.

Must be able to work to tight time scales.

Must be willing to relocate to Afghanistan.
